These terms apply when you use bus.me.uk. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

About the service

bus.me.uk is a free, independent information service run by Steven Smith in the United Kingdom. It shows bus timetables, live bus positions and departures using data published by bus operators, transport authorities and government bodies. We don't run any bus services.

Accuracy

We try hard to show correct information, but we can't guarantee it. Live positions, predicted times and timetables come from third parties and can be delayed, missing or wrong. Buses shown in red, and any departures marked "timetable", are estimates based on the timetable, not the bus's real position.

Please allow extra time for important journeys, and check with the operator if you need certainty. Nothing on the site guarantees that a service will run, or run on time.

Our liability

The service is provided free and "as is". As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss caused by relying on information on the site, such as a missed bus or connection, or by the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Accounts

Accounts are optional. If you create one, keep your password to yourself and give an email address you use. We may suspend or remove accounts that are used to abuse the service. You can delete your account at any time from the account page.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• use the site for anything unlawful;
• try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its server;
• copy the site's data in bulk by automated means, or make heavy automated use of its internal interfaces. Most of the data is openly available from its original publishers, listed on our about page, and we're happy to discuss other uses.

Data and content

Timetable, stop and bus location data belongs to its publishers and is used under their licences, including the Open Government Licence v3.0 and Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Maps are © OpenStreetMap contributors. Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons under the licence credited next to each one. The site's own design, text and code are © bus.me.uk.

Links to other sites

The site links to operators, photo sites and other services. We aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Changes

We may change the service or these terms. The date at the top shows when these terms last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
